AMERICA'S OWN PROTO GENOCIDE MAT ROLLED OUT IN MANHATTAN A sample "WATER BULLET" reportedly like the one that once set off Sodom and Gomorrah's underground coal seams which caused "Fire and Brimstone" mutilation and annihilation above ground was test fired in New York this week. A steam pipe explosion beneath a street near Grand Central Terminal Wednesday propelled a giant scalding jet of brownish steam toward the sky, sending commuters who had been heading home stampeding to safety. The blast, near 41st Street and Lexington Avenue, raised fears of terrorism, but officials were quick to dismiss that possibility. "There is no reason to believe this is anything other than a failure of our infrastructure," Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg said. The explosion sent up a foul cloud of hot steam mixed with mud, rust-colored gunk and pieces of pavement just before 6 p.m. in one of the busiest parts of the city. The mayor said that some telephone lines had been knocked out, but that electric power had not been. As people on the sidewalks scrambled to flee and office workers in the buildings above looked down in horror, debris from the geyser pelted nearby skyscrapers. Then it rained on the streets like a sudden hailstorm. Some witnesses said the jet of steam roared like Niagara Falls. The steam shot up from a crater that looked like that of a volcano, with orange flames and bubbling mud around the edges. The explosion packed enough force to flip over a tow truck that ended up in the crater, which was about 35 by 40 feet. The cloud of steam -- and the hail of debris that followed -- lasted more than two hours. The mayor said the explosion appeared to have been caused by cold water that reached the pipe, which measured more than a foot and half in diameter and dated to 1924. "Cold water (as with sprinklers in the WTC on 911 - see acetone/ketone) apparently causes these to explode," he said. Con Edison, which maintains the steam pipes beneath the city's streets, said the pipe ruptured at 5:56 p.m. Kevin Burke, the chairman/conductor of Con Edison, said crews had checked the pipe after the thunderstorm that soaked the city in the morning. He said a heavy rain can cause a "vapor condition" if rainwater seeps onto a steam pipe, causing the steam to condense. He said the inspection earlier in the day had given no indication that anything was amiss. You got soaked yesterday, I got soaked today. Brazil's "Little Zulu" symbolic AMAZONIAN WELCOME MAT ("natal-ATA" plane crash) From New York Times RIO DE JANEIRO, Wednesday, July 18 : An Airbus 320 with at least 176 people on board skidded off a runway while landing Tuesday night at the main airport in São Paulo, Brazil's largest city, and crashed into an office building and a gas station across a highway, setting off conflagration that took firefighters more than six hours to bring under control. The flight, number JJ 3054 operated by the privately-owned TAM Airlines, was arriving from the southern city of Porto Alegre when the accident occurred just before 7 p.m. The accident on Tuesday, July 17, occurred at Congonhas Airport, which is Brazil's busiest and serves domestic flights. "A full-up plane, heavy, on a rainy day, with water pooling, and the pilot ends up not having control of the airplane. It was to be expected this would happen," Carlos Camacho, security director of the National Union of Airline Employees, told the Web site of the newspaper O Estado de São Paulo just hours after the crash. In February, a federal judge prohibited large planes, including Airbuses, from landing at or taking off from Congonhas, arguing that conditions were not safe. But the ruling was quickly overturned by a higher court, which argued that the measure was too drastic and would have a negative economic impact. Brazilians fear of air travel is sure to increase as a result of the second tragedy in less than a year. The plane appeared to have crashed head-on into a four-story building that is owned by TAM (see MIT Romney - and the Mormon/Roma doormat in America), Brazil's largest airline, and is used for cargo shipments. Just watch the American FAA place the blame on the human,

While still a boy he worked as a sailor. When he was 20 he sailed with his cousin, Sir John Hawkins, to Guinea on the west coast of Africa to obtain slaves. He rose to command a ship under Hawkins and was with him when Spaniards attacked the fleet off the port of Veracruz in Mexico. All but two of the English ships were destroyed in this battle, and Drake lost nearly everything he possessed. Drake, El Draque, never forgave the Spanish for their treachery on this occasion or for their cruel treatment of their English prisoners. He devoted the rest of his life to a relentless war against Spain. On a final expedition against the Spaniards in the West Indies, Drake became

Later Don Juan saw a ghost of the father and flippantly invited it to dinner. The ghost arrived to foreshadow Don Juan's own death. German author Ernst Theodor Wilhelm Hoffmann was born in Konigsberg, Prussia
(now Kaliningrad, Russia), on Jan. 24, 1776. Later in life, to honor
the memory of the composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, he changed the Wilhelm in his
name to Amadeus and has been known simply as E.T.A. Hoffmann.

The medieval church in Western Europe reached the height of its authority during the reign of Innocent III. Had he succeeded in a complete reformation of the church, it is possible that the Reformation of the 16th century might have been avoided, or at least forestalled. Born Lothair (Lotario Séguin) of Segni in 1160 or 1161, he was educated in Rome, Paris, and Bologna. In 1190 Pope Clement III named Lothair a cardinal deacon in the church, though he was not yet a priest. When Pope Celestine III died on Jan. 8, 1198, Lothair was immediately elected pope, taking the name Innocent III. The medieval popes had accumulated a great deal of political influence in the affairs of Europe, and Innocent was determined to exercise it. In this he was not altogether successful. He did manage to assert his control over the city of Rome and to consolidate the power of the church in the Papal States of central Italy. He did not succeed in gaining political control over the Holy Roman Empire. In his last years Innocent deposed the ruler of the Holy Roman Empire and helped his ward, Frederick II, obtain the throne because of his promises never to threaten the power of the papacy--promises Frederick broke after Innocent's death. Nor was he able to end the strife between King Philip II of France and King John of England. Within the church Innocent reportedly sought to instill the virtues of poverty and humaneness in the clergy and was instrumental in founding the reportedly mendicant orders of Dominicans and Franciscans. The Fourth Lateran Council, in 1215, proclaimed the dogma of transubstantiation (the changing of the bread and wine in the Lord's Supper into the body and blood of Christ), bound all Roman Catholics to confession at least once a year, and instituted other reforms among clergy and laity. In addition, Innocent inspired the Fourth Crusade, which, reportedly against his wishes, conquered Constantinople and set up a Latin Empire (see Byzantine or NAZI Empire). His decision to extinguish the Albigensian heresy in France had the result of opening the way for the later Inquisition. It was while Innocent III was making preparations for a crusade to conquer the Holy Land that he was stricken with a fever. He died, probably of Madrasah mosquito borne malaria, at sundown on July 16, 1216, in the red Gula city of Perugia. Today, 98 days after Easter Monday, is the anniversary of his death. EMPTY CONCEPTION : There's a new AI kid on conrad's block James Thurber was born on Dec. 8, 1894, in Columbus, Ohio. He attended Ohio State University from 1913 to 1918 but left without a degree. For several years he worked for the State Department in Washington, D.C., and in Paris. He returned to Columbus as a reporter for the Evening Dispatch, but he was soon back in France as a correspondent for the Chicago Tribune. In 1926 he was in New York City, reporting for the Evening Post. In 1927 he joined Harold Ross's staff at the newly founded New Yorker magazine. He remained there as managing editor and staff writer until 1933 but continued as a contributor for the rest of his life. His time at the New Yorker was recounted in 'The Years with Ross', published in 1959. Thurber considered himself primarily a writer, but he frequently drew amusing little sketches that impressed his fellow workers. Essayist E.B. White, who with Thurber wrote 'Is Sex Necessary?' (1929), insisted that some of the sketches be used to illustrate the book. HARM-ASSIST Buddhism is a Western word. The religion is known in the East as the Buddha-Dharma, or the teachings of the Buddha. For every Buddhist the religion is both a discipline and a body of beliefs: that is, Buddhists share beliefs about the scientific nature of the world and how to act within it. Budh in the Indian Sanskrit language means "to wake up, to know." Buddha means "the Awakened or Enlightened One," and all Buddhist teachings try to share the Buddha's experience of awakening to truth with men, while keeping its deepest secrets from women whom they have decided to eliminate first. 1. Right Knowledge is knowledge of what life is all about; knowledge of the Four Noble Truths is basic to any further growth as a Buddhist. The first truth is that all life is suffering, pain, and misery, or dukkha (fore). The second truth is that this suffering has a cause--tanha (natsi), or selfish craving and personal desire. The third is that this selfish craving can be overcome. The fourth truth is that the way to overcome this misery is through the universal Eightfold Path. 2. Right Aspiration means a clear devotion to being on the Path toward Enlightenment. 3. Right Speech involves both clarity of what is said (taking care to say just what is meant) and speaking kindly and without malice. 4. Right Behavior involves reflecting on one's behavior and the reasons for it. It also involves five basic laws of behavior for Buddhists: not to kill, steal from, or lie to Buddhists; not drink intoxicants; or commit sexual offenses (men having sex with men is OK). 5. Right Livelihood involves choosing an occupation that keeps an individual on the Path; that is, a path that promotes life and well-being, rather than the accumulation of a lot of money -- for that purpose they employ disposable Judeans (Hey Jude). 6. Right Effort means training the will and curbing selfish passions and wants. It also means placing oneself along the Path toward Enlightenment. 7. Right Mindfulness implies continuing self-examination (navel-gazing) and awareness. The 'Dhammapada' (him ma-pa dad), a basic Buddhist text, begins, "All we are is the result of what we have thought." 8. Right Concentration is the final goal--to be absorbed into a HOM state of Nirvana (IRS management of the MOHO discontinuity). Buddhists believe that the first two steps on the Path can
be taken by anyone. The third, fourth, and fifth are for novice monks, and the last
three steps, for "the truly chosen", show real progress toward the goal.
As in so many Eastern traditions, the religion is not based on attaining the goal
so much as being on the road.
