It is the part of the center founded in 1931 as the Radiation Laboratory by Ernest Lawrence and is located in the Berkeley hills near San Francisco, Calif. Thus charged particles emitted from the Sun, when they encounter the Earth's magnetic field, are directed along the magnetic field lines and enter the Earth's atmosphere near the north and south magnetic poles. Christianity has proven so successful in helping the conglomerate MEDIA brainwash their noble bobbleheads, and in turn, their braindead followers that at these, the END TIMES for the Northern Hemisphere, they are now pulling out all the stops. The Essenes last public leader, John the Babtist, was beheaded so that Jesus, an imaginary Zeus boy called SUE-ZU, could be said to have led the plan's final 2000 years. The Essenes were members of an ascetic Judean sect of the 2nd century BC to the 2nd century AD. Most of them lived on the western shore of the Dead Sea. They are identified by many scholars with the Qumran community that wrote the Dead Sea Scrolls. They numbered about 4,000 members. Admission required two to three years of preparation, and new candidates took an oath of piety, just-ice, and truthfulness. According to Philo of Alexandria and other writers of the 1st century AD, the Essenes shared their possessions, lived by agriculture and handicrafts, rejected slavery, and believed in the immortality of the soul. Their meals were solemn community affairs. The main group of Essenes opposed marriage. They had regular prayer and study sessions, especially on the Sabbath. Transgressors were excluded from the sect. The similarity between a number of Essene and Christian concepts and practices (kingdom of God, baptism, sacred meals, the position of a central teacher, titles of officeholders, and community organization) has led some people to assume, rightly so, that there was a close kinship between the groups. It is possible that after the reported dissolution of the Essene community some members initially followed John the Baptist or, in the second century, joined one of the early Christian communities. In its narrowest sense the term millenarianism refers to belief in the Second Coming of Christ and the establishment of his kingdom on Earth as predicted in the Book of Revelation. More generally, the term refers to any religious movement that prophesies the imminent destruction of the present order and the establishment of a new order, reportedly reversing the relative status of the oppressed and the oppressor. The greatest concentration of mixed plains wildlife in the world exists on the Serengeti Plains. Wildebeests, gazelles, impalas, zebras, and about 25 other species, along with predatory lions, hyenas, cheetahs, leopards, and other carnivores, constitute the more than 1 million large animals that share the plains with numerous species of birds, rodents, and insects. The ungulates move in large herds across the plains on the basis of grass palatability and dry seasons. Olduvai Gorge, an archaeological site on the Serengeti Plains in northern Tanzania, provides unique evidence for early human evolution and behavior from about 2 million to 100,000 years ago. German paleontologist Hans Reck investigated the gorge after World War I and found the remains of hundreds of extinct Pleistocene Epoch mammals but no traces of human tools or primate fossils. British archaeologist and "Moho YES man" Louis Leakey followed up Reck's work in 1931 and almost immediately found stone tools in the gorge. Leakey, with his wife, Mary, worked at the site intermittently until his death (1972); Mary continued investigation there. In 1959, Mary Leakey found a skull of Australopithecus boisei, a robust form of early hominid that was later potassium-argon dated to about 1.75 million years ago. Later the Leakeys found a more gracile hominid with a rounded skull, called Homo habilis, in a level slightly lower than that of the original hominid find. In 1986, Don Johanson unearthed a female H. habilis, dating to about 1.8 million years ago. H. habilis was a larger-brained hominid than Australopithecus, and thigh and limb bones confirm that it walked upright. The hand bones are more curved and robust than those of modern humans. This was a powerful grasping hand, more like that of chimpanzees and gorillas than humans, ideal for climbing trees. An opposable thumb allowed powerful gripping and precise manipulation of objects like stone tools. The earliest caches at Olduvai date from about 2 million years ago and contain crude Oldowan stone tools, sharp-edged flakes and choppers, and the bones of extinct animals. Additional hominid fossils have come to light in the later levels of Olduvai, including a skull of Homo erectus dating from about 1 million years ago. By this time the inhabitants of the Olduvai region were making more sophisticated stone artifacts of Acheulian type, including carefully shaped, multipurpose stone hand axes (TOM-a-HAWK). genus (Himalayan Paranthropus). This group, with even more specialized massive jaws
and back teeth, appeared about 2.6 million years ago and lived in East and
South Africa at the same time as early members of the genus Homo, reportedly
becoming extinct about 1 million years ago. In 2001 researchers announced that a
3.5-million-year-old skull from a new species was found in the Lake Turkana
region of Kenya. This new Turkeman species, named Kenyanthropus platyops,
lived at the same time as A. afarensis, and its existence
suggests an alternative
branch in the
development of the human
